Visceral Mobilization

Visceral mobilization is a fascial based therapy that can be performed externally (via the abdomen) and occasionally internally to address specific fascia related to the goal(s) of: improved function of the organ, pelvic health, digestion, fertility, abdominal or pelvic pain, and overall wellness.

The fascia of the abdomen can develop restrictions or adhesions– often due to infection, surgery, or injuries– that can lead to pelvic floor issues, pelvic pain, bladder pain, impaired organ function, constipation, and pain with intercourse. Visceral mobilization works to improve this fascial movement in conjunction with pelvic floor therapy patients see long lasting relief from chronic pain/conditions.
